Atticus, sometimes the climb is worth it! I just had the sensation of being in the heavens at the top of Europe. My latest adventure took my to Chamonix, France where I got to see some of the biggest giants in Europe, including THE tallest mountain of Europe - the Mont Blanc. The Mont Blanc is 4810 meters (15,781 ft)) high ! Chamonix is a mecca of all things mountain - ski touring, climbing, you name it. The town itself has great vibe and you feel dwarfed as the steep mountains tower around you, glaciers hanging down their sides. It's truly a unique place. On top of it all, you can take a lift up to Aiguille du Midi for one of the most awe-inspiring views I've seen to date. It's a total must!
If you fancy some tasty curry, a lot of culture, a dash of quirky, and a little of anything goes, London is your kind of town! I just got back from a great weekend wandering around the streets of London and strolling along the Thames. I went to see a fantastic show in the theatre district- the Book of Mormon - HILARIOUS!!!! Then I happened upon some pretty talented boarders along the Thames before standing before St. Paul's Cathedral. London is really a mixed bag of tricks, and it's always an interesting visit.
