Rock on Atticus! I tapped my paws to the beat at the DOUR festival in Dour, Belgium, where I listened to the sweet music of Sigur Ros, Pat Thomas & the Kwashibu Area Band, Allah-Las, Kebra Ethiopia, Gallant, Harrison Stafford & the Professor Crew.... It was a melodic voyage around the world, taking me to the mystic cold land of Iceland, the warm beats of Ghana, the hum of South Africa's developing communities, and beep-boppin' underbelly of L.A. and Pleasanton, USA.
Hey there Atticus! On my last adventure, I let my inner science geek roar. I visited Lassen Volcanic National Park in California! It was a 'sizzling' good time. I saw 4 types of volcanoes - shield, composite, cinder cone, and plug dome. I even got to climb up to the top of a cinder cone to look into it's crater, and I gazed at Lassen peak (a plug dome) from the top of Brokeoff Mountain (a composite volcano). To top it all off, I saw some bubbling pools of mud at the Sulphur Works hydrothermal area, which proves that the park is still boiling just beneath the surface. It was ultra cool!
Cowabunga dude!!! Despite being a 'kook' (surf lingo for no good at surfing), I do love watching the greats hang ten on some gnarly waves. I recently took a short trip to Santa Cruz to watch just that! It was epic!
