Wowwy Atticus! My latest adventure took my paws to the region of Champagne, France where the namesake bubbly beverage comes from. It was 'pétillant'! I walked amongst the vines, discovered the 18 km of crayères (or chalk cellars) of one of the biggest names in the industry - Pommery, visited the Reims Cathedral, did a tasting at a family owned vineyard in an incredible old house, and I even had time to climb up in the trees to the Perching Bar treehouse bar in order to sip some bubbles while looking out over the countryside. It was divine and well worth the trip!
Hey there Atticus! The view just can't be beat when you're up high. My latest wanderings took me to the 7 Meuses in the Belgian Ardennes near the town of Rivière (River). Up high on the hillside you can have a lazy afternoon and enjoy the views of the valley and the Meuse river, which shows up in 7 places in the distance, giving the spot its name. Beautiful!
Atticus, you'll never guess what I did on an adventure in the Parc Naturel des Deux-Ourthes in the Belgian Ardennes. I went on an incredible hike around the Lac de Nisramont, I spotted a muskrat swimming upstream in the river, I camped next to the sounds of a rolling river, and I tried my hand at fly fishing and crayfishing! It was finger lickin' good!
Hi Atticus! My wandering feet recently took me exploring in Belgrade, Serbia. I was so surprised to find a city full of life, blending the old and the new. I went a walk through the Belgrade Fortress and Kalemegdan Park, tasted some delicious Serbian treats like ayvar (bell pepper relish) and kajmak (unripened cheese), and listened to street artists while strolling down Kneza Mihaila. It was a fascinating glimpse of the modern Balkans.
