Atticus, few places in the world seem unreal, but that's exactly how it felt when I was in Svalbard. I felt like I was living a documentary! Ice Ice Ice, ice everywhere! But first... I started my trip in Tromso, a city 350 kilometres North of the Artic Circle in Northern Norway. It was a pretty cool place to check out and get ready to board my ship. I then set sail on the Nordstjernen, headed North to Bear Island. Bear Island was incredible - a dot on the map that I got to put my paws on. We then continued further North to the land of the polar bear - Svalbard. Svalbard is one of the world’s northernmost islands, 60% covered in ice all year, and home to more polar bears than people!!! It was truly out of this world. I saw polar bears through binoculars, walruses, dolphins, reindeer, arctic foxes, puffins and even the midnight sun (that last picture was taken at 1 in the morning)! Can you even imagine?
