Atticus, can you feel the magic? I just went on an adventure to the world of Disney at Disneyland Paris. It was truly where 'dreams come true'. I got to see Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Cinderella, Belle, Beast, Buzz Light Year, Thumper, Eeyore.... and travel to Mainstreet USA, Fantasyland, Toy Story Playland, Frontierland, Adventureland, Discoveryland... I met Pirates of the Caraibbean, I went 2000 leagues under the sea on the Nautilus, I blasted off to Space Mountain, I soared above London with Peter Pan, I crawled below Paris and made Ratatouille with Rémy, I travelled into the Twilight Zone in the Tower of Terror, and I event visited Sleeping Beauty's castle! Magical doesn't begin to describe it! Once you're tall enough, I sure hope that we can go together!
Woowwwwzaaa Atticus! I just saw a wild boar! To scratch my explorer's itch, I went on a quick trip to the St. Hubert Forest in Belgium. I had been told that this time of year is fantastic for observing fall colors and taking part in a Belgian safari. I wasn't disappointed! After a walk amongst crimson and gold leaves, I hid in an observation lodge and scanned the horizon with my binoculars. Soon a HUGE wild boar came running out of the woods and around the pond. It was incredible. I had no idea that they were so big! He was at least 150kg and well over a meter long. Once I collected myself, I began touring the trees once more and voila! out of nowhere a great big buck with fantastic antlers crossed my path no more than 15 feet away. What a rush! To calm down I took a tranquille walk around the Rouge Poncé Nature Reserve, one of the very first in Belgium and a unique ecosystem much like that of Scandinavian. The ground is a marsh blanketed in blueberries and scattered with birch trees. Finally, to take it all in, I made my way to the nearby village of St. Hubert (the patron saint of hunters) to sample some of the local delicacies. The wild game and mushrooms were divine!
