Atticus, my last adventure felt like a dream, literally! I went on a walk in the Hallerbos in Belgium, just outside of Brussels. At this time of year, just before the leaves grow thick on trees, the wood is transformed into a place for fairies. Millions of bluebells carpet the floor of the forest, perfuming the air with their intoxicating sweet smell. I found myself lost in a dreamscape, wondering between waves of blue...
Wow Atticus, I had quite a lovely collection of experiences on my last expedition. I went exploring in Flanders (the Northern, Dutch-speaking (or Flemish) region of Belgium). I was lucky enough to taste homemade delicacies next to a true Flanders' field and farm, to taste the liquid gold of the Westvleteren Trappist monks, to get lost in the Westhoek Nature Reserve near De Panne, and to take a stroll alongside the waters of the North Sea. What a trip!
Atticus, my last adventure was unexpected! I travelled to Montenegro to get a peek of former Yugoslavia, but I was instead mesmerized by the mountainous landscape and incredible history. It was absolutely lovely! I particularly liked climbing to the top of the fortress in Kotor Bay in order to admire the old city, which dates back to the Venetian empire.
Hi Atticus, I just love airports! I love the hustle and the bustle and the sense of possibility. It's just fascinating to look around and imagine where people are headed. Are they off to an adventure?
