Hi Atticus! You'll never guess where I've been! On my latest adventure I travelled back in time, well almost. I visited the Chateau de la Hulpe, which dates back to the infancy of Belgium as an independent country. The castle was constructed from 1833-1842, and it sits on the edge of the incredible Sonian Forest. What a place! After a picnic in the sun on top of vivid green blanket of grass, you can enjoy the afternoon on a stroll through the woods. Perfect!
On my latest trip out and about, I ventured to Jodoigne, Belgium where some friends of your Auntie M. and Tonton taught me about what it means to grow your own food and be self-sufficient. It was super interesting and come harvest time, I bet it's super delicious too!
Atticus, sometimes it pays off to just go off on an adventure, no clear goal in mind. On my latest escapade, I hopped on a bike along the Belgian coast, 'a la Mer du Nord,' and I just rode. Along the way I found some fantastic new places with lots of charm, despite having been to the coast many time before with my ol' buddy Tintin. I found spots where I could hide amongst the dunes while watching the waves, charming farmhouses, and even a little (population 4000... on a busy day) surfer town called 'Wenduine,' aptly named for 'wind' and 'dunes.'
