Ah, there's nothing like fresh air, a walk amongst the trees, fresh mountain springs, and a day at the spa. Atticus, I just got back from a few lovely days at the Hotel Julien in Alsace where I hiked up and down the Middle Vosges, enjoyed the views, and indulged in some relaxation in a panoramic sauna. A lovely short trip!
Italia!!!! Atticus, my most recent wandering took my to the Italian Lakes region of Italy. I cruised the water and towns of Lake Como and Lake Maggiore, and even crossed over into Switzerland to gaze at Lake Lugano. It was magnificent. The food was divine, the Alps were in the distance and the sun was shining. It was glorious!
Hey Atticus, I got the bug... the bird watching bug. I hear you may like watching birds too. Well, I found the perfect place to do it - Het Zwin on the Belgian coast! It's an international bird airport! Birds come and go on the migratory paths, and you can watch their arrivals and departures on the control panel. It's pretty awesome. You can learn all sorts of fun facts too at the interactive visitors center. Then you can step outside and observe the birds for yourself! Amongst the many winged creatures I spotted were spoonbills and cranes!
Hey Atticus, I love animals and the thrill of spotting animals in the wild never gets old. If you want a rush, hop on a zodiac boat on go seal spotting in the North Sea!!! So much fun!
Atticus, you'd be amazed what some sand and some groovy tunes can do. I just went to the Brussels Beach where a part of the city is transformed into a summer oasis full of dancing, music and food from far away places. I ate like a Caribbean and danced swing like it was 1922. You should check it one day!
Atticus, Pairi Daiza in Belgium is awesome! I was lucky enough to visit this paradise and it was truly like travelling around the globe. I felt like I was walking from the continent of Africa, to Australia, to North America, to Europe, to Antarctica, to South America.... and I saw so MANY ANIMALS!!!! I practically got to kiss a giraffe!
